In just two short months, the conversational artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, managed to reach 100 million users. It’s faster than the most popular networks or search engines. For businesses, it’s also a sign, if one were needed, that the time for work automation has come: 90% of respondents in Slack’s State of Work 2023 report using AI at within their organization show higher levels of productivity.

In his report State of Work 2023, Slack gives pride of place to the uses of AI and automation in business and their impact on employee productivity. Respondents to Slack’s State of Work survey also point to a paradox: while 77% of them say that automating routine tasks would greatly improve their productivity, only 45% say their teams have created processes to facilitate their work. A glaring shortfall in the operational efficiency of organizations, which Capgemini also highlighted in its study ” The Automation Advantage ”: the automation of business processes would make it possible to gain up to 30% in efficiency. As for those questioned in Slack’s State of Work report, they highlight three main benefits of automation: 62% believe they can do more in less time and with fewer resources, 44% say that automation allows them to have a greater business impact and 36% point to a better work/life balance. Other advantages can also be underlined: the reduction of costs induced by inefficient processes, a greater force of innovation carried by a saving of time of the workers and, generally, a better competitiveness vis-a-vis the competition.
