Why Michael Jackson and 2Pac’s Collab Never Happened

Michael Jackson should have been in the list of features of The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theoryannouncement BET. Quincy “QD3” Jones III, the son of Quincy Jones and producer of To Live and Die in LA, revealed the information. According to him, the 2Pac team would have contacted the king of pop to offer him a featuring on the song “Thug Nature”, without success.

Michael Jackson would indeed have declined the offer out of loyalty to The Notorious BIG, with whom he had collaborated on “This Times Around” a year earlier, and who was in conflict with the interpreter of “Changes”. “I organized a meeting at Neverland. I arrive and I speak regarding the project to Michael. And you know what he told me? That he liked Biggie”, says the producer.

The incredible duo will never see the light of day, and “Thug Nature” will finally be released in 2000 in the compilation album Too Gangsta for Radiode Death Row.
