M6 offers, this Wednesday, February 1, the fifth episode of Who wants to be my partner? Investors continue to study the valuations offered to them by the entrepreneurs selected in the show. All hope to experience the same success as the first projects, which had the honors of this third season. Among them, James and Clément created Capillum, a company that recycles hair to enhance it.
Who wants to be my partner? : three offers for Capillum including one from Anthony Bourbon
The two men came to ask for the sum of 100,000 euros once morest 5% of the shares of their company. Using hair collected from hairdressers, they have created an innovative and unique mulching mat, which replaces the plastic sheets that are usually used in fields or forests to protect the soil. And they already have other projects to optimize the resource. Their arguments more than convinced the investors, as they received three offers. Eric Larchevêque offered them 200,000 euros for 11% of the shares of their company. Jean Pierre Nadir has accepted their request. Isabella Knight decided to join one of his comrades, Éric Larchevêque, volunteered for an amount of 100,000 euros each. Anthony Bourbon has made a bigger offer with 25% of the company for 500,000 euros. Delphine André is the only one to have passed her turn. After a few minutes of reflection, the two entrepreneurs opted for the Éric Larchevêque and Isabèle Chevalier ticket.

“We did not expect his proposal at all”
Clément and James told us that these offers had been a “nice surprise for them”. “It’s always a pleasure, especially from renowned investors, like this jury. It’s also a great recognition for us entrepreneurs to see that they support us, that they believe in our circular economy approach. which has a whole team behind it”, they rejoiced. And if they chose the duo, it is for very specific reasons. “That’s two more people with a valuation that corresponded to what we had come to look for basic. It is really in relation to this consistency in terms of valuation, the international aspect, and the fact that there are two of them, and therefore that makes two more heads in our strategic pole, that we chose this option. -the”, they explained to us. As for Anthony Bourbon’s offer, it surprised them. “We did not expect his proposal at all. We took the time to think regarding it.” they noted.

James and Clément (Capillum) refused to “betray their values”
But at the end of their reflection, they did not follow the creator of Feed. Before explaining in detail the reasons why they preferred to refuse it. “Even if it’s a lot of money, we know that in financial engineering, if we take too much money at a time compared to an initial need which was 100,000 euros, it can also be blocked behind. Because the day when it may be necessary to look for more money once morest a certain number of shares, if we have already given them all at that time, it is more complicated. Because of course it’s 500,000 euros but it’s also 25% of the capital”, first detailed James.
“We are really collective in our approach. We thought that there was a good contribution with Éric Larchevêque and Isabèle Chevalier, the international part. Éric Larchevêque is also an expert in industrialization, thematic who is important to us. And he’s someone who knows our mulch product quite well too. With all these skills and the network of the two, there are perhaps all the elements to be able to create value and this towards our objective, which is all the same to act for a sustainable world”, he completed. Clément then developed the more ethical reasons that led them to refuse this important offer.. “At the level of the maturity of the company, we also have a certain need for financing that we went to look for in the program, to have a proposal double compared to the initial proposal, we accepted it. But to overconsume or have more money than is necessary for us would betray our values. We came to get what we needed.” James added.
