Russian women are massively switching to eco-fur coats of the Ural company
The production of eco-fur coats made of woolen fur from the Sverdlovsk brand Vira Plotnikova has increased six times since 2018. Representatives of the company attribute the growing interest to the trend towards conscious consumption among Russian women and the fact that many began to give preference to non-standard models. Yulia Nazipova, a representative of Vira Plotnikova, told URA.RU regarding this.
“Demand for our fur coats and production volume have increased sixfold since 2018. There was a small dip during the coronavirus pandemic, but overall growth is linear,” Nazipova said.
The company sees two reasons why interest in sustainable fur coats is growing. First, the trend towards conscious consumption among Russians. Secondly, product innovation, unusual design. In terms of technical characteristics, eco-fur coats are not inferior to natural fur coats.
Earlier URA.RU reported that in May Vira Plotnikova faced with a huge deficit employees. Due to understaffing, the company might not take incoming orders, despite the growing demand.
In the production of fur coats, Spanish merino wool is used; sheep of this breed are raised in Australia
