Another pleasant evening invited a friend over for a sleepover, we agreed to watch something quiet. We don’t watch anime often, mostly movies, but we decided to give titles a chance and chose Vinland Saga.
We watch the first episode, the second, the third, then we feel general irritation at the extremely shitty opening with loud and indistinct music and imagine that this crap will be shown for another 20+ episodes.
That is, this is a potential 10-20 times getting out of bed for the sake of skipping a two-minute monotonous insertion.
I don’t understand why this is necessary, it’s like forced and uninteresting dialogues in games that cannot be skipped.
Take for example Reincarnation of the Unemployed. There were no openings, everything was accompanied by pleasant music with a pleasant picture of cities and open spaces, you didn’t even want to get up and skip.
At the same time, there is no general indignation. Does everyone tolerate it or is someone really interested in watching it over and over again? Especially in company, not directly in front of the computer, but right on the couch and in front of the TV.
