Some people prefer to eat a large amount of mango as a delicious summer fruit, but this may lead to abdominal pain and discomfort, so what is the reason?

In the following lines, “Consulto” reviews the causes of abdominal pain following eating excessive mango, according to the “Live Strong” website.

Relationship between mango and abdominal pain

complex sugars

Mango contains a high percentage of sugars that can not be easily broken down in the body. Some people have difficulty digesting mango sugar in the small intestine, and then it moves to the large intestine, causing abdominal gas and bloating.

Stomach bloating can lead to constipation, inflammatory bowel disease and discomfort, so eat mangoes as much as possible.

Acidity and GERD

Mangoes are citrus fruits that can make symptoms worse. Acid refluxes from the stomach into the esophagus, causing burning sensations, chest pain, nausea, and inability to sleep.

fluid retention

Fluid retention in the body as a result of eating a large amount of mangoes that are high in sodium can lead to high blood pressure and digestive disorders.

Abdominal pain following eating mango

1- Drink enough water.

2- Do not lie on your back so that stomach acid does not flow back into the esophagus.

3- Eat a cup of boiled ginger to relieve stomach pain.

4- Drink a cup of boiled mint leaves.

5- Avoid eating any foods that are difficult to digest, such as fats, fried foods and spicy foods.

6- Walking 30 minutes to relieve abdominal pain and get rid of bloating and gas.

7- Some antacid medications can be taken if you feel that way.
