“The show has influences from modern theatre. I experienced this work as a workshop on Chekhov, the human relationship, the detail of Chekhov and what I liked is the humor that Chekhov has. It is of situations and not of farce. Shapiro managed to illuminate this, he is a director – a teacher. It’s rare to come across that nowadays and we were happy for what we experienced”, said Panagiota Vlanti initially regarding the show in which she stars.
Regarding her role, she emphasized that, “Anna Petrovna” is a free spirit for her time and very advanced. But she is oppressed by social taboos.
