Varda Nariadwala, wife of renowned producer Sajid Nariadwala, recently shared an interesting incident related to her wedding day with the producer. Varda recalled how Salman Khan was also going to tie the knot on his wedding day, but the superstar changed his mind in the end.

In an interview, Varda Nariyadwala revealed, “I found out about it a day after our marriage. I asked Sajid, ‘What were you two talking about? You guys were whispering something in each other’s ears and then you were both laughing. A joke happened between them on stage. So they told me, ‘We were supposed to get married on the same day but Salman Khan backed out. He (Salman) was saying, grandson, the car is behind, let’s run away. She is very sweet though. They welcomed me on stage and congratulated me.

When asked who she was going to marry, Varda laughed and said, ‘I think they told it all on The Kapil Sharma Show.

In the year 2019, Sajid Nariyawala spoke openly about it on The Kapil Sharma Show. He recalled that Salman already had a girl in his eyes, I had to find a girl for myself. I asked my mother and family to find a girl for me, as Salman and I had planned to get married on the same day.

He added, ‘Just 5-6 days before the date, Salman Khan said ‘I’m not in the mood’. He managed to change his mind.

In another interview, Salman Khan revealed that he was ready to tie the knot with actress Sangeeta Bijlani. However, they called off the wedding.

On the other hand, Sajid Nariyadwala, who was married to Divya Bharti, tied the knot with Varda Khan in 2000 after the death of his first wife in 1993.
