Ashraf Al-Gharib, the father of Naira, a student in Mansoura, who was killed by her colleague Muhammad Adel, in front of the Faculty of Arts at Mansoura University, said that he agreed that Chancellor Mortada Mansour, Chancellor Bahaa Abu Shaqqa, and Salah Hassaballah take over the defense of his daughter Naira in the event that the appeal submitted by him was accepted. The family of the accused, following consultations with his family.
Naira’s father had said in previous statements, last Thursday, before Naira’s funeral in one of the events halls in Mahalla al-Kubra, that he would not agree to the admission of new lawyers to the case and be satisfied with the legal team present in the case from the beginning.
The father of the student Naira, in his statements to Masrawy, explained that the family was busy with the preparations for the funeral, and following the completion of the mourning ceremony and the consultation among them, they welcome all the lawyers who announced their defense of Naira, because they are keen on the right of his daughter and volunteers to stand by the family.
