Books – Mustafa Hamza:
Yesterday, Wednesday, the artist Marita El-Hillani, daughter of singer Assi El-Hellani, celebrated her wedding to her groom, Camille Abi Khalil, “Head of Production Department on the Anghami platform.”
Yesterday, Wednesday, hours before the wedding, Marita published a video clip on her Instagram page, repeating the words of the judge who had completed her civil marriage contract, and saying: “I promise to love you, care for you, and respect you throughout my life.”
Lebanese journalist Rola Nasr, in an exclusive statement to “Masrawy”, said: “Marita, or (Bride of Hallaniya), as she was called, married a civilian, because she is a Muslim of religion, and the groom, Kamil, is a Christian of religion, and the marriage took place outside Lebanon.”
Regarding the reason behind establishing the contract outside Lebanon, and the delay in announcing it, she said: “The contract took place in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, specifically on June 1, because Lebanon does not have a civil marriage, and the delay in disclosing it was aimed at ending all procedures, the arrival of official papers, and the completion of all preparations.” And the desire of the newlyweds and the family for the henna night to be largely family.
Rola added: “The wedding ceremony, and before it, the night of henna, took place on a farm owned by her father, Assi Al-Hillani, in Al-Hallanieh’s hometown in the Lebanese Bekaa Valley.”
The artist Assi El-Hillani, his wife Colette, and his son Al-Walbad were keen to participate in singing for the newlyweds. Assi began dedicating a special song to the bride, his daughter “Marita”, before his son presented a song that he prepared specially for the newlyweds, and Colette sang “Mother of the Bride”, the song “Lola Al-Malamah”.
Marita announced last February her engagement to Camille Abi Khalil, a Lebanese resident in Paris, as he heads the digital content production department on the “Anghami” platform.
