Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala said that CPIM keeps inviting the League because the Left Front is weak. The CPIM realized that the League was a dominant force. That is the reason behind the present invitation. UDF is single. Not even a single force can dislodge the league from the front. He quipped that it is enough to buy that water and nobody can support this government.

Muslim League leader Kunhalikutty came to the scene to thank him for inviting him to CPI(M)’s Palestine solidarity rally. PK Kunhalikutty’s explanation is that he is grateful for the invitation and technically cannot participate in the rally. Kunhalikutty told the media that the Muslim League has a definite stand on the issue of Palestine and cannot go to all the weddings called for.

The state government should call an all-party meeting. Muslim League Front is a polite party. He did not participate in the rally invited by the CPIM because he was part of the UDF front. Let the CPIM rally be a success. Whoever participates is fine. It is an official decision that the league will not participate. Kunhalikutty told the media that the League is not an organization that holds a rally and remains silent.

The leaders confirmed that the Muslim League will not participate in the solidarity program organized by the CPIM on the Palestine issue. The CPIM was hoping that the League would participate following the reactions of the leaders came in the past few days. Leaders including Muslim League State General Secretary PMA Salam and ET Muhammad Basheer MP, did not specify that they would participate in the rally, but positive signals were evident in the responses.

ET Muhammad Bashir’s response was that he would participate if invited by the CPIM. After this, the CPIM officially invited the league. The Congress leaders had also informed the League leadership of their protest once morest the League’s move. When it was confirmed that he would not go, KPCC president K Sudhakaran came to the scene, embracing the League and severely criticizing the CPIM. Sudhakaran’s response was that the League, which is a part of the UDF, was invited by people who have no sense.
