During March, Célestin Tawamba, the president of the Inter-employer Grouping of Cameroon (Gicam) and Protais Ayangma, president of Entreprises du Cameroon (Ecam), brought together their respective boards of directors to submit for deliberation the proposed merger of the two largest employers’ organizations in the country.

Tomorrow, April 5, the two leaders will formalize their rapprochement during a ceremony organized in Douala. Protais Ayangma, from Ecam (600 members) and Célestin Tawamba from Gicam (1,000 members) will sign a merger agreement which will result in the formation of a new entity, the name of which has not yet been summer unveiled.
