Boca Juniors faces an unprecedented situation just hours before the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana playoff once morest Independiente del Valle. The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) did not disqualify players Gary Medel, Tomás Belmonte, Brian Aguirre, and Milton Giménez, who were recently added to the team led by Diego Martínez.
The reason given by CONMEBOL is a time discrepancy in the registration of international transfers. The absence of these key players creates unexpected inconveniences for the coach, as the team has already started training with three of the four new additions.
