VIVA Showbiz – Ariel NOAH bluntly said he didn’t like the songs created by Andika, ex-Peterpan. In fact, the vocalist from Bandung was reluctant to use Andika’s songs on the album when their band was still called Peterpan. How does Luna Maya’s ex-lover explain this?
The vocalist, whose real name is Nazril Irham, did not deny that Andika, ex-Peterpan, took part in contributing work to their band’s previous album. However, the 42 year old vocalist admitted that Andika’s song did not suit his taste. Scroll to find out the complete information.
“He (Andika) said he contributed, indeed he contributed. He gave me songs, there are lots of them on the computer, but really, they’re not good, the songs aren’t good,” said Ariel, quoted from Ferdy Element’s YouTube channel, Tuesday 17 October 2023.
According to Ariel, Andika’s songs did not suit the tastes of the other personnel at that time. Ariel also emphasized that Andika’s songs were only stored in memory and were not used to be included in Peterpan’s albums at that time.
“It’s not delicious according to others. So it’s not just me who says it’s not delicious, but other people also say that,” said Ariel.
Ariel admitted that there was one moment where a song written by Andika, ex-Peterpan, made Lukman so unappetizing that he was reluctant to arrange the guitar parts. Ariel explained that basically making songs is not easy and requires more effort so that listeners will like them later.
“Lukman didn’t like it, until Lukman ran away because he didn’t want to play his guitar. I actually didn’t agree either, not just ‘Nananana’, making songs is more complicated than that,” explained Ariel.
When he saw the response of Lukman and the other personnel, Andika felt annoyed because the songs he wrote had never been included in the album. Until finally, Ariel helped improve a song with the title ‘Aku’ made by Andika so that it felt comfortable to listen to.
“Because I saw Andika, he was sulking at that time, like ‘wow, why isn’t my song on (the album)’. ‘The song is here, I wrote the lyrics’,” recalled Ariel.

Even so, Ariel did not deny that the conflict at Peterpan at that time also stemmed from his honesty. If he was honest with Andika from the start and didn’t give any excuses regarding the song he wrote, of course the problems at Peterpan might have been avoided.
“I didn’t have the heart to say ‘I don’t like your song,’ so I said ‘I can’t live it yet,'” he said.
