Why are PTI officials suddenly resigning?

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Provincial Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa C&W Shakeel Khan has resigned from his ministry. On the other hand, the organizational officials of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf are also announcing their resignation from their posts in Punjab.

PTI Punjab President Hamad Azhar announced his resignation from his post on X yesterday.

He alleged that his founding chairman PTI Imran Khan No access and their powers are being interfered with.

However, when Party Secretary General Umar Ayub rejected his resignation and directed him to continue working, Hammad Azhar refused to withdraw his decision.

The notification of the new president has also been made after the resignation of all the officials including Tehreek-e-Insaf Lahore President Asghar Gujjar.

While in the Punjab Assembly, on the resignation of the parliamentary leader Hafiz Farhat, a new parliamentary leader has been appointed in his place.

The sudden resignation of PTI officials in the last 24 hours is also raising many questions.

According to analyst Wajahat Masood, “Since PTI’s relationship with powerful circles has been broken, many leaders first got off the boat and many are now getting off by making excuses.” Because such a tradition in the game of power is very old.’

According to analyst Salman Ghani: ‘The psychological pressure on PTI leaders is increasing with the court martial of General Faiz Hameed and other retired officers. That’s why the resignations that came are few, now even the big leaders at the central level will be seen stepping aside.’

However, Shoaib Shaheen, the central spokesperson of Tehreek-e-Insaaf, says that ‘complaints of leaders in political parties are part of the routine, so the officials of our party also adopted the path of resignation to remove their concerns.

“Our leadership is trying to address their grievances. After consultation with Khan Sahib, the reservations of several officials have been removed and further discussions are going on.’

Grievances of resigned officials

C&W Shakeel Khan, the resigned provincial minister of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, said in a conversation with the journalists that ‘the extreme corruption going on in the provincial government can no longer go on. The corrupt lobbies are so strong that I was forced to resign. I will state the reasons for resigning from the cabinet in the House.

On his resignation, it has been said in the explanation issued by the provincial government that the committee formed by the founding PTI had submitted its report to the Chief Minister. On which the Chief Minister KP has already sent the summary of the removal of the provincial minister from the ministry to the governor.

On the other hand, the resigned president of PTI Punjab, Hammad Azhar, posted from his X account on Thursday evening, in which it was said, “Unfortunately, I do not have access to Imran Khan Sahib.” I did not hold a press conference and did not do any deal, so my movement is very restricted and I cannot go to Adiala.’

According to Hammad Azhar: ‘Many decisions were taken in the Punjab organization that neither involved my opinion nor consented to. Most of these decisions were based on lobbying and limited access to Imran Khan and one-sided information instead of merit.

Hamad Azhar said that ‘I am leaving the charge of the Punjab Presidency from today in such a situation. Imran Khan was and will remain a worker.

Earlier, the entire organization of PTI Lahore has also been dissolved.

Omar Ayub has issued the notification of the new President Imtiaz Sheikh for Lahore on Friday.

While the resignation of party parliamentary leader Hafiz Farhat has been accepted in the Punjab Assembly, the notification of Ali Imtiaz Waraij has been issued.

Tehreek-e-Insaf General Secretary Umar Ayub has rejected Hamad Azhar’s resignation on X and directed him to continue his work.

While Hammad Azhar has rejected his post in response to his post and announced that he will stand by his decision.

The new president of PTI, Imtiaz Ali Sheikh, while talking to Independent Urdu, said that ‘When Asghar Gujjar was made the president of Lahore, even then Imran Khan approved my name.

‘But I was ignored. Still, on the instructions of Imran Khan, I was made the president of Lahore, while Ali Imtiaz Waraich was made the parliamentary leader.

PTI Information Secretary Shoaib Shaheen while talking to Independent Urdu said that ‘Provincial Minister Shakeel Khan was decided to be removed on the recommendations of the committee on corruption charges but he has already resigned.

Hamad Azhar’s concerns are being addressed, Secretary General Umar Ayub has not accepted his resignation, besides administrative changes have been made.

“Resigning or appointing new officials is the power of every political party and it is being used.” Our party is united under the leadership of the present leadership and is as active as ever.’

Resignations due to differences or something else?

Analyst Wajahat Masood while talking to Independent Urdu said that the game of politics in Pakistan is played on the shoulders of power.

“When the shoulder is turned away, the functionaries of the parties in difficulty part ways by making excuses like the PTI leaders are doing.

“When Tehreek-e-Insaf had the support of powerful circles, the political birds were eager to sit on their banner. Many politicians were leaving the troubled PML-N and PPP and joining PTI.

Now Tehreek-e-Insaf is facing difficulties, so they are struggling to leave it and join the PML-N and PPP supported by powerful circles. Hamad Azhar appeared many times in meetings, which can be inferred that in such circumstances, independence cannot be against the will of powerful circles.

According to political analyst Salman Ghani: ‘By the way, the leaders who were included in Tehreek-e-Insaaf started leaving the government as soon as they left.

“But since the military spokesman announced that General Faiz Hameed’s court-martial has started, PTI’s big leaders also suffered from severe psychological pressure.”

Salman Ghani said that the number of leaders who are resigning is nothing. In the coming days, more big leaders will be seen leaving the party.

‘Because just as the network of connections of Faiz Hameed network with founder PTI in jail continues. Due to this, many important officials of PTI may also be caught in the coming days.

‘So it is not easy for everyone to bear this pressure. Every office-bearer gives excuses while leaving the parties, this is what they are doing.’
