Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team Captain Bisma became the first Pakistani woman player to score 2000 runs in the prestigious Women’s T20 International.
Bisma Maruf won this honor in the first match of the 3 T20 series against Bangladesh at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore yesterday.
The captain of the national women’s cricket team crossed the milestone of 2000 T20 runs in the sixth over of the match against Bangladesh on Saturday.
28-year-old Bisma is the first Pakistani and the third Asian woman to achieve this famous feat. Before her, India’s Mithali Raj and Harmpreet Kaur have also completed 2,000 runs in women’s T20 cricket.
However, the important thing is that Bismah is only the second cricketer of Pakistan overall who has scored 2000 runs in 20 over international cricket.
Before him, Shoaib Malik, the all-rounder of the men’s team, has also crossed this milestone.
In his message on Twitter, Shoaib Malik congratulated Bisma Maruf and said, “You have set a great example through team leadership and individual performance while accomplishing a great feat.”
In response, Bisma Maruf also thanked Shoaib Malik.
Thankyou so much Shoaib bhai. ??? https://t.co/AgJhYrAVOR
