There isn’t an event that so many Americans watch together like the Superbowl. American football, to the majority of the Czech audience, including me, considerably incomprehensible sport, is a national love for Americans. It is played here by everyone at all levels, from a dad throwing a squishy ball with his son in front of the house, through school teams and private clubs, to of course the top league. The games of college or league teams can easily fill huge stadiums, good tickets cost hundreds of dollars, fandom for a chosen team is considered more binding than a marriage, the end of which can be considered following all.

Well, the Superbowl is the final of the highest national league, when the two best American teams of that year meet. Their players are stars whose names and jersey numbers are proudly worn by millions of people on their shirts and jerseys that day.

Every year, the most watched event is not only this match, but everything around it. The friends are already planning meetings in advance to watch the finals together. When we first hosted a Superbowl party at our house last year, it was regarding fitting into American life
