Matthew Perry died on October 28 at his home in Los Angeles.

His mother and stepfather were said to be the first to arrive on the scene after he was found lifeless in his hot tub.

Will Perry’s parents inherit his fortune?

Following the death of actor Matthew Perry there are still many uncertainties. On the one hand, the initial toxicological examination did not reveal any more precise information about the cause of his death – neither fentanyl nor crystal meth was found in his blood – and on the other hand, the question arises as to who will inherit his fortune.

This is estimated at around $120 million net, as the US magazine “Hello” writes. The “Friends” actor earned around a million dollars per episode in the last few seasons of the successful sitcom. According to Variety, Perry received at least another $2.5 million for the 90-minute revival of the Friends cast in 2021. In addition, there is the additional income that he generates after his death for every repetition of the series and some very lucrative deals.

The 54-year-old also had an impressive real estate portfolio. He made money buying and selling houses, the report states. Shortly before his death, Perry shared pictures of his home in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, which is also home to the hot tub where his life tragically ended on October 28th.

Matthew Perry had a close relationship with his parents

It is currently unknown who will inherit Perry’s money. He has never been married and has no children. Although he did not start a family of his own, he was considered Family man through and through and was incredibly close to his mother Suzanne Perry, his stepfather Keith Morrison, and his biological father John Bennett Perry. Together with his four half-siblings, they formed a large Canadian-American blended family.

According to Hello, his mother and stepfather were the first people to show up at his house after Perry was found dead. It is unclear whether the actor left a will. Unless an estate states otherwise, the next of kin – in this case Perry’s parents – would inherit the actor’s assets in equal shares.

Perry: “Spent $9 million on rehab”

Although Perry was able to afford many nice things during his lifetime, he spent a considerable amount of his money on… Fighting his drug and alcohol addictions out of. “I probably spent nine million dollars or something getting sober,” he said in an interview with the New York Times about a year ago.

He went to rehab a total of 15 times, attended 6,000 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and started drug detoxification 65 times. But it wasn’t until he was 49 that he became completely sober.
