Graduated from the Universidad del Salvador with a degree in Environmental Sciences and then in Industrial Hygiene, Valeria Victoria Brovelli She was 33 years old, and was identified this Thursday as the Argentine tourist who lost her life in the crash of a bus in Punta Canathe traditional Dominican spa to which thousands of Argentines travel every year.
With several years working in the IBM company, in the security area, Brovelli showed himself on his social networks with several travel photoslike that of a trip to the Similian islands in Thailand. However, the moment of happiness represented by this new vacation trip to Punta Cana, as a stopover heading to the Saona Island areasuddenly became a tragic crossroads of fate, when the bus that was carrying the contingent that made up the Argentine tourist collided with a wall and ended up overturning on one of its sides.
How was the crash of the bus in Punta Cana
According to the bus driver, he would have attempted a desperate maneuver to avoid a head-on collision with a truck, but the truth is that beyond the possible causes of the event, the balance was dramatic: in addition to Brovelli, a Peruvian tourist died, while dozens of travelers were injured. Among the Argentine wounded, is precisely the husband of the deceased Argentine woman.
The fatal accident occurred in the town of Bávaro, province of La Altagracia, and the contingent of tourists included, in addition to Argentines and Peruvianstourists from Brazil and Chile. This Thursday night the last balance of the Dominican authorities reported 48 injured, of which 14 presented serious pictures and another 34 with different degrees of commitment, but in all of them without life risk.
For his part, the Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic traveled to Punta Cana and the Dominican Government ordered the action of a Civil Defense Cabinet, which will be in charge of the Vice Minister of Tourism, Patricia Mejía.
