The jagged process
And then everything happens very quickly. It often happens that as a quiz candidate you only have one week to prepare for the show. On the other hand, there is enough time to wait during filming: In general, the TV guests always have to be there regarding five hours before the show. The first thing to do is to dress up the participants.
For example, if you wear a white shirt or a striped T-shirt, you usually get a different piece of clothing from production. The reason for this is that white and striped television often tends to shine and flicker too much. Rather uncomfortable for viewers at home.
food and silence
After getting dressed, the quiz candidates are allowed to go to the canteen to regain their strength before the show. Exactly at this time presenter Günther Jauch usually arrives in the studio. A rate Alex Reed explained to the “image”: “Jauch quickly scurried past us without a word. Of course you can understand that, following all, everything on the show should be spontaneous. It wouldn’t be if he knew the candidates before the show.”
Don’t forget the non-disclosure agreement that everyone invited has to sign. The public should not find out too early who won how much on the show.
If the question and answer session is over for one of the guests, they have to leave the TV studio in turbo mode. Mainly because of the current Corona rules, which stipulate that as few people as possible have to be in the studio at all times. Those contestants who haven’t had time to face the quiz master will get their turn on the next show.
Long wait for the prize money
Until the quiz candidates come to the money they have won, they have to wait once more: it can usually take up to six weeks for the amount to be transferred. (cog)
