The regulatory authorities of these two actors want to make it possible to immunize more people with a lower dose. The main objective is to avoid a possible shortage.

According to data released by the WHO also on Thursday, the number of new cases of monkeypox fell by 21% last week, to less than 6,000, and there are indications of a decline in Europe in particular. On the other hand, it has increased widely on the American continent where the majority of infections have now been observed.

A total of 12 people have died since early January from monkeypox. More than 41,000 cases have been identified in nearly 100 countries.
