On Saturday October 12, Nikos Aliagas will return to this set that he knows so well for the kickoff of this twelfth season. During the press conference which took place this Wednesday, September 25, several pieces of information have already been revealed to improve your patience. Thus, the name of the first candidate of this new promotion has been revealed. As for the teaching staff, there too changes were made by production. Several of them do not return, this is notably the case of Adeline Toniutti (singing teacher), Coach Joe (sports teacher), Cécile Chaduteau (stage expression teacher) and Pierre de Brauer (theater teacher). ). They were respectively replaced by Sofia Morgavi, Ladji Doucouré, Marlène Schaff and Hugues Hamelynck.
Hugues Hamelynck: who is the new theater teacher?
For this new season of Star Academy, Pierre de Brauer leaves his place to Hugues Hamelynck. If he is little known in France, in Belgium he is a big star. Indeed, the 44-year-old man has had a series of projects (and successes) whether on television, radio or as a coach. As for his omnipresent good humor, it could only be beneficial for students who dream of succeeding Pierre Garnier. During the press conference, he indicated: “Theatre can scare students, we must put in place a caring framework.” To do this, he explains that he will “play with them” and “reconnect with the children they were”. “The injunctions of society mean that we have a little policeman in our heads and my role will be to silence this little policeman. I am not going to give them alexandrines right away,” he specifies.
Hugues Hamelynck knows Pierre de Brauer well
The two theater teachers know each other well. “Pierre de Brauer came to settle in Brussels around ten years ago, we crossed paths because improvisation is a small environment, we know each other well,” confides Hugues Hamelynck. As for the one who leaves his place, he specifies on Instagram that he is “a long-time friend”: “He has a café that I love (…) he is a lover of the show and the French song. He is eloquent, he knows how to speak well. To conclude, he highlights his talent as a “trainer”: “He even trained me!”
