Who is far-right activist Tommy Robinson?

Clashes have broken out in a dozen British cities after a knife attack on July 29 killed three girls. The suspect, Axel Rudakubana, 17, who was born in Wales to parents originally from Rwanda, according to media reports, is accused of murder and attempted murder. Since then, violence has erupted in the country, fueled by the far right, with anti-immigration and anti-Muslim slogans. The rallies have been widely shared on social media by hard-right figures, including the founder and former leader of the English Defence League, Tommy Robinson. A man with an already lengthy criminal record, who fled the United Kingdom.
