Bryan Kohberger, who is suspected of killing four University of Idaho students in the United States, was arrested and charged with “murder” on Friday. But who is this individual?

The 28-year-old began a doctorate in criminal justice at Washington State University in Pullman, a few miles from Moscow, the city where the quadruple murder took place.
In 2022, he also earned a master’s degree in criminal justice from DeSales University in Pennsylvania.
The suspect is believed to be the owner of the white Hyundai Elantra that was spotted near the crime scene.
While studying at DeSales, Bryan Kohberger posted in a forum for former prisoners on Reddit. As part of a research work, he wanted to understand how emotions and psychological traits might influence decision-making when committing a crime. The post was deleted when the suspect’s arrest became public.
Here are the questions he would have asked:
“Before taking action, how did you approach the victim or target?”
“After committing the crime, what did you think and feel?”
“Did you prepare the crime before leaving your home?”
“Why did you choose this victim or target over others?”
A former friend of Mr. Kohberger says that the latter had started taking boxing lessons towards the end of high school.
“He always wanted to fight someone and he bullied people. We cut him out of our group of friends because he was becoming a completely different person,” Nick McLaughlin told Daily Beast.
A former aunt of the suspect confided in The Post regarding his “very bizarre” eating habits.
“It was beyond being vegan. His aunt and uncle had to buy new pots and pans because he didn’t want to eat food that had already been cooked with meat,” she explains.
According to her, the young man would suffer from an obsessive compulsive disorder.
