The controversy at La Casa de los Famosos México 2024 continues to escalate, and this time, Arath de la Torre has been the center of attention after a comment that has raised suspicions. During a conversation with Gala Montes and Mario Bezares on the reality show, Arath launched what many have interpreted as a warning to Adrián Marcelo, suggesting possible ties between his in-laws and “big people” in Culiacán, Sinaloa.

The comment came in the middle of a discussion about the tensions between Arath and Adrián Marcelo, who weeks before leaving the show had launched several verbal threats against the actor. Adrián assured that his relationship with Arath would change and that what he would receive from him would not be “friendly.” “What you are going to receive from me is not going to be friendly at all, take it as you like, I am just warning you,” said Adrián, who also recommended that his family stop watching the reality show. “It is not a threat, but if your family is watching this content, I highly recommend that you avoid standing in front of me,” added Marcelo.

In response to this, Arath de la Torre, in a reflective tone, commented that his wife Susy Lu, who was a fan of Adrián Marcelo, probably could not stand him anymore after what happened on the show. “My wife was a fan of his, but now she must hate him,” Arath commented. To which Gala Montes responded: “like half of Mexico.”

It was at that moment that Arath dropped the controversial phrase that has generated all kinds of reactions on social media.

“He messes with his children and my father-in-law doesn’t know who he’s hanging out with in Culiacán. It’s better if he doesn’t even look for him,” said Arath de la Torre.

Arath did not mention Adrián Marcelo directly, but hinted that his words were directed at him. This comment has been interpreted as a threat to the Monterrey comedian, which has sparked a heated debate on social media.

The situation has become even more tense due to the current context in Culiacán. The capital of Sinaloa is experiencing a situation of extreme violence, with blockades, clashes and burning vehicles. Arath de la Torre’s words fell right in the middle of this crisis, exacerbating the criticism.

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said the wave of violence in the city could be related to tensions within the Sinaloa Cartel, especially after the capture of Israel ‘El Mayo’ Zambada.

In light of these events, several viewers and social media users began to ask for Arath de la Torre to be investigated for alleged links to criminal groups, which has generated an intense debate on platforms such as Twitter, where the actor has been nicknamed “Arath de la Torre narco.” The actor’s statement about his father-in-law has fueled suspicions that he could have connections with influential people in Culiacán, something that many consider a delicate insinuation.

So far, there is little information available about the identity and life of Arath de la Torre’s father-in-law, and this has only increased people’s curiosity. It is known that his father-in-law is the father of Susy Lu, the actor’s actress and wife, but he has kept a low profile and away from the spotlights surrounding his son-in-law and daughter.

There are some photos on social media in which he appears with Susy Lu, but no details are known about his profession or the ties he might have with people in Culiacán.

For now, the identity of Arath’s father-in-law remains a mystery, but the actor’s words have given rise to much speculation about possible ties he may have in Sinaloa. It remains to be seen whether this will affect his participation in the reality show in the grand finale.
