African-American philosopher born in 1944, communist activist, Angela Davis dedicated her life to the struggles that crossed the second half of the 20th century. Four episodes filmed in France, Alabama, Los Angeles and San Francisco to finally answer this question: who is afraid of Angela Davis?

Angela Yvonne Davis’ life is made up of fights and struggles. A little black girl born in 1944 in Alabama, she became an international figure in the fight once morest all forms of domination at a very young age. Listed among the 10 most wanted criminals by the FBI, this young black woman, philosopher, communist escaped the death penalty following a trial which had worldwide repercussions. A life like a perpetual political awakening, the daily life of activism and the reasons which, even today, lead her to battle every day.

It is also in the books that Angela Davis gives us to see and read a thought, her thought, starting with her Autobiography published in 1974 edited by novelist and Nobel Prize winner Toni Morrison. The lights will follow Women, Race and Class or Blues and Black Feminism where she traces the genealogy of racism in the United States and perhaps around the world
