Connor Bedard reached impressive 50 goals and 100 points with a two-goal, three-assist performance in the Regina Pats’ 7-4 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors in the WHL.

Bedard became the youngest player in WHL history to score 50 goals when he threaded the needle at 1:50 of the third period to make it 6-4. On the streak, number 98 took a wrist throw on a single skate from the top of the faceoff circles that ended up neatly in the top corner of the net on the goalie’s mitt side.

The second of Bedard’s game, in an empty net, allowed the young phenomenon to collect 100 points during the same season. With 100 points, he surpasses the 99 points collected by Connor McDavid with the Erie Otters in the OHL at the age of 16. McDavid had accomplished the mark in 56 games. For his part, Bedard reached 100 points in 62 games.

Bedard fired nine shots in the victory for his team. He finished his season with 326 shots on the net. This is the fifth highest total in league history since the statistic was calculated.

It was Bedard’s last game of the season as the Pats will not make the WHL playoffs as they finished the season with a record of 27 wins, 36 losses and three overtime losses.
