The Regina Pats welcomed back Connor Bédard, who returned as a hero of the World Junior Hockey Championship on Sunday, and the tournament MVP rewarded his home crowd with four goals and two assists.
The prowess of the future first pick of the 2023 NHL Draft allowed the Pats to beat the Calgary Hitmen 6-2 in the Western Hockey League.
Bedard’s four goals and six points are personal highs for him in his WHL career.
Tanner Howe and Alexander Suzdalev also scored for the Pats (19-19-1-1), who outshot the column 41-31.
