My loot
Many people find that sun bleaching is most effective when clothes are wet rather than dry, although even dry items will discolor to some degree. The easiest way to prepare your clothes is to wash them as you normally would, and instead of putting them in the dryer, put them in the sun. You can do this with any white fabric, including towels, tablecloths, bedding, and white shirts.
Lay clothes as flat as possible
It is important make sure every part of the fabric receives direct sunlight and do not overlap. It is the sun’s rays that do the bleaching, so if the rays cannot get through, the item will not bleach.
Try adding lemon juice for an extra boost.
If you need extra bleaching power, mix lemon juice with water. Use regarding 60 ml of lemon juice and 475 ml of water, in a spray bottle and spray directly on the stains. Lemon juice reacts with the sun to bleach even more effectively.
Do not leave clothes in the sun for a long time. Usually two to three hours will do the job. If you would like the item to be even whiter, try a few more hours another day. Keep in mind, however, that leaving things out for days might weaken and damage the fabric, especially sensitive fabrics.
