White House chief of staff to resign

(PLO)- Sheet The New York Times Citing sources familiar with the matter, White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain is regarding to resign, marking an important change in the position of President Joe Biden’s administration.

Sheet The New York Times Citing sources familiar with the matter, on January 21, White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain will step down in the coming weeks, marking a rare shift in a senior position in the administration of President Joe Biden.

Sources said Klain had shared that he was leaving following the president’s State of the Union address on February 7 and that he had informed Biden of the plan.

The White House is currently looking for a successor, the source said.

Klain, 61, is a close adviser and has supported Biden for three decades. He served as Biden’s chief of staff when Biden was vice president under Barack Obama.

As White House chief of staff, Mr. Klain has supported Biden in important plans such as COVID-19 relief, vaccine distribution, fighting inflation and economic crisis …

Klain’s resignation would be a shift in a hugely important position in the already relatively stable administration of President Biden, especially as Biden prepares to announce his re-election bid next term.

His departure also comes at a time when the White House faces a series of political and legal threats related to the mishandling of classified documents and requests from Republicans in the House.

The position of chief of staff is one of the most important positions in the White House, responsible for advancing the president’s agenda and managing personnel inside the White House.
