People of Pakistan who pay thousands and millions of electricity bills will be surprised to know that there is even a village in our country where the residents get uninterrupted electricity by paying only Rs 200 per month.
According to private TV reports, people living in a small village in Bunir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa pay only Rs 200 per month to get electricity. Many people in Brashmanal village in Buner district are still deprived of many basic amenities.
According to local people, they still do not get electricity from Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA).
In such a situation, Shaukat Hussain, a 30-year-old resident of the village, has built a hydroelectric power plant at a cost of Rs 1 lakh, which provides electricity at just Rs 200 per month.
According to private TV, the local people of the village also say that unlike the rest of the country, they are not even aware of the increase in electricity prices as their village does not face any load shedding or increase in electricity prices. is
According to private TV reports, a resident of the village said that our village is backward but now the village is freed from darkness and there is a place of light because electricity is provided for the whole month on payment of just Rs 200 monthly bill. It goes and we are very happy with it.
In this regard, Shaukat Hussain said that there are about 100 houses in the village, each house receives a monthly electricity bill of Rs 200 and repairs the machinery with this amount.
He said that we have discounted the price of power supply to provide relief to the people as the villagers cannot pay the high bills but we cannot provide power for free as the cost of spare parts is high.
Shaukat Hussain said Hussain added that the people here are benefiting a lot from the electricity generated by this hydroelectric plant and if the government provides assistance, more people can benefit from it.

**Interview with Shaukat Hussain: The Innovator Behind Buner’s Affordable Electricity Solution**
**Interviewer:** Good evening, and welcome to our program. Today, we have a remarkable Alex Reed, Shaukat Hussain, the 30-year-old visionary who has transformed energy access in his village, Brashmanal, in Buner district. Shaukat, thank you for joining us.
**Shaukat Hussain:** Thank you for having me! It’s a pleasure to share our story.
**Interviewer:** First off, can you tell us how the idea of setting up a hydroelectric power plant came to you?
**Shaukat Hussain:** Absolutely. Living in Brashmanal, I noticed the struggles my community faced with electricity access and the burden of high bills. I wanted to create a sustainable solution that would benefit everyone, so I decided to harness the natural water resources available to us.
**Interviewer:** That’s inspiring! How did you manage to build the hydroelectric power plant with a budget of Rs100,000?
**Shaukat Hussain:** I started by researching DIY hydroelectric projects and gathering local materials. With the help of some friends and community members, we built the plant ourselves. It was a lot of hard work, but the cooperative spirit of our village made it possible.
**Interviewer:** It’s impressive that you provide uninterrupted electricity for just Rs 200 a month. How has this impacted the lives of the residents?
**Shaukat Hussain:** The impact has been tremendous. Residents can now rely on constant electricity for their daily needs without the financial stress of high bills. We’ve seen improvements in education, as children can study at night, and local businesses have started to thrive with power available.
**Interviewer:** That’s wonderful to hear! However, you mentioned that many people in the village are still deprived of basic amenities. What are some challenges you face in improving living conditions further?
**Shaukat Hussain:** While electricity is a significant step forward, we’re still challenged by issues like access to clean water and better healthcare. We’re working to raise awareness and gather support to tackle these problems, but it’s a gradual process.
**Interviewer:** It sounds like you’re not only a power provider but also a community leader. What are your future plans for Brashmanal?
**Shaukat Hussain:** I hope to inspire more villages to adopt similar projects. My goal is to expand our electrical capacity and explore solar energy options. By working together, we can improve our infrastructure and create a model for sustainable living.
**Interviewer:** Thank you, Shaukat, for sharing your incredible journey and vision with us. Your efforts are truly commendable, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
