Which team will play the final against India if it rains?

The Asia Cup ODI is going to be a big match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka on Thursday, September 14, which will decide who will play the final of this year’s event once morest India.

The match between India and Sri Lanka took place on Tuesday, in which India defeated the Lincoln Tigers by 41 runs, following which Pakistan’s chances of reaching the final increased. Now if there is a final of Asia Cup between Pakistan and India then Pakistan has to defeat Sri Lanka for that.

But there is a cloud of danger hanging over the national team including the Pakistani fans as this match is also to be played in Colombo where there is a clear chance of rain on September 14.

Now the question arises that if it rained during the match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka and the match might not be played, which team will reach the final? Before knowing the answer to this question, let’s take a look at the points table.

With 4 points, India has qualified for the finals while Bangladesh has been eliminated from the race.

What if the match is not played due to rain?

It should be assumed that if continuous rain continues during this semi-final match and the match cannot be played, then Pakistan and Sri Lanka will get one point each, thus both will get three points, but due to better run rate, Sri Lanka will get one point each. Lanka will qualify for the finals.

On the other hand, some users on social media are also raising questions that despite the semi-final status, no reserve day has been kept for the match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

For a match based on DLS results, both teams must have played at least 20 base overs.

Schedule of remaining matches of Asia Cup:
