Which leaders received nomination papers from which constituencies?

The collection and submission of nomination papers for the general elections to be held on February 8, 2024 is going on across the country.

Nomination forms of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif have been obtained

PML-N leader Captain (R) Safdar has received nomination papers for NA-15 Mansehra for Mian Nawaz Sharif. Nawaz Sharif will also contest from NA 130 of Lahore.

Nomination papers were received for Shehbaz Sharif for NA 242 constituency of Karachi, NA 123 of Lahore and provincial assembly seat.

Maryam Nawaz will also contest the elections for the provincial assembly seat from NA 119 and the same constituency.

According to sources, Maryam Nawaz will participate in the election from two provincial constituencies while Hamza Shehbaz will participate in the election from NA-118.

Nomination forms of Chairman and Chairman of PP were also obtained

Election forms were received from NA-207 Nawab Shah for PPP co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari.

Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari received nomination papers for NA 194 Larkana, Bilawal Bhutto’s Political Secretary Jameel Soomro received nomination papers in his place.

Former Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani from the People’s Party received nomination papers to participate in the elections from NA-148 Multan.

PTI founder Imran Khan will contest the elections from three constituencies

The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan will contest elections from three constituencies of Mianwali, Lahore and Islamabad, his nomination papers will be submitted in all three constituencies.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar Khan said that the founder will sign the nomination papers from PTI tomorrow. If stopped, the situation will worsen and we do not want the situation to worsen.

Other leaders including IPP chief received nomination forms

Stability Pakistan Party (IPP) chief Jahangir Tareen and his son Ali Tareen received nomination papers from NA 155, PP 227 and PP 228.

Jahangir Tareen’s daughter Meher Khan Tareen also stepped into national politics and nomination papers for NA 155 were received on behalf of Meher Khan Tareen. Nomination papers were also received from PP 227 on behalf of Meher Khan Tareen.

IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan has received nomination papers for NA 119 Lahore, he will also be a candidate from Punjab Assembly seat PP 149 from Lahore itself.

Former Federal Minister and leader of Stabilization Pakistan Party Humayun Akhtar Khan has submitted his nomination papers from NA 97 Tandlianwala Constituency of Faisalabad.

MQM and PMLN received nomination papers from Karachi

Collection and submission of nomination papers for 22 seats of National Assembly and 47 seats of Provincial Assembly continued from morning till evening in seven districts of Karachi.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan candidate Mustafa Kamal and Humayun Usman from NA 243 constituency have submitted their nomination papers in constituency NA 242 of Kemari district of Karachi.

PML-N Kemari President Salehin Tanuli received nomination papers for NA-242 Constituency Shehbaz Sharif.

In Balochistan too, the election chaos started

The phase of issuing and collecting nomination papers for the general elections of February 8 is also going on across Balochistan. 67 Returning Officers and 102 Assistant Returning Officers have been appointed in the province for delivery or collection of candidates’ papers.

In Quetta, 12 candidates and 18 assistant candidates have been appointed for 3 seats of the National Assembly and 9 seats of the Provincial Assembly. On the first day of receipt of papers, more than 50 people received nomination papers in three constituencies of the National Assembly in Quetta, while more than 100 people received nomination papers for 9 constituencies of the Provincial Assembly.

The collection and submission of nomination papers by small and large political parties and independent candidates across the country will continue till December 22.

It should be noted that the priority list of political parties for the specific seats of National and Provincial Assembly from Sindh can also be submitted to the Provincial Election Commissioner by December 22.

According to the Provincial Election Commission, the process of submission of nomination papers to the Provincial Election Commissioner Sindh for 29 seats for women and 9 seats for minorities and 14 seats for women in the National Assembly will continue till December 22.
