THE Milosas the island of colors, as it is also called Tinosalso famous for its gastronomy, are included in best Greek islands to visit in summer 2024 according to National Geographic.
Especially for Milos, the publication states: “Volcanic Milos is an island of colors, with rock formations in shades of red, yellow and blinding white. Similarly bright are the doors and windows that adorn the traditional Sirmata – the huts found only around Milos and neighboring Kimolos, carved into the soft volcanic rocks by fishermen sheltering their boats for the winter. Some have been converted into quaint lodgings right on the water’s edge. On land, look for the catacombs (the only ones on a Greek island), the ancient theater and the replica of Aphrodite of Milos, which mark the spot where the original was found.”
