name where is my bible You wouldn’t necessarily associate it with melodic death metal. Especially when it sounds like a new album coffee Rich in black metal elements and Nordic folk elements. But you could be wrong. Another important question arises: there are many first-class bands in the far north, focusing on melodic songwriting. So, is the latest book from the Bible-seeking Finn worthy of being on your record shelf?
A lot of help
The album is billed as melodic death/black metal, but you can’t just leave it. where is my bible Combining sonic elements from more than just the two genres, it’s largely built on melodic death – but not quite.
Let’s take this song as an example Fenrir Give an example. The first half of the song has lethal metal stomps and thrash, including a neat guitar hook that is almost a prototype of the sound. But suddenly, the song transforms through the instrumental bridge into a post-metal song with a female chorus and sensual clear vocals instead of deep growls and aggressive screams. Yes, it does work, and it actually works well.
Willful and melodic
The content described in the previous few sentences in one song actually runs through the entire album. where is my bible The “rules” of metal songwriting are disrupted, which is why they remain so exciting.
Another example is this song Lahkoappearing in individual paragraphs Meat God Apocalypse or rotten christ Remember. But it does not exclude the powerful drum beats and guitar lines of the so-called “Gothenburg School” that we are most familiar with. You can take a look at the songs here listen.
So all that can really be said is this: after listening to the entire album, you’ll hear snippets of sounds from every corner of the metal universe. Feel free to press play again, as the band really understands coherent and exciting song structures.
in conclusion
If you like your metal music to be both melodic and “extreme,” 2024 is coming coffee Don’t come here. where is my bible Not only did they use heavy weaponry in this production, but they also used almost every gun a highly skilled band could wield. Yes, it’s basically melodic death, but there’s more to it. Powerful performance and 8/10.
