Where was Edoardo Galli? The father’s first words after the discovery –

At 7.45 this morning Edoardo Galli, the 16-year-old from Como who disappeared last March 21, was found at Milan Central Station while he was buying a ticket to return home to Colico. This was recognized by a couple of travellers, who immediately notified the Fs Security staff who, in turn, requested the intervention of the Railway Police. “The town is celebrating, it’s the best news we might have received before Easter”. Monica Gilardi, mayor of Colico, expresses her relief in an interview with Tele Sondrio News following “a week of apprehension in which we were all holding our breath” over the boy’s disappearance. “We can only be happy – she adds – Colico is rallying around Edoardo’s family”. On Mattino5, the Mediaset information programme, the news was broadcast live.

“Hard to decipher.” What the criminologist knows regarding Colico's disappearance

“We are very happy. Edoardo is very well. He already had the ticket for Colico in his hand and this is the best thing”: this is how the father of the 16-year-old, whose traces were lost for days, began. “What did he do? Is it true that he went to Eastern Europe?”, a journalist asked him. “We don’t know regarding this yet. It’s the thing we care least regarding. The most important thing is that he’s here, that he’s fine. I want to thank all the people who helped us during this terrible week,” continued the man. On what Edoardo told us upon his return, his father stated: “He didn’t tell us anything. We got excited, hugged. We didn’t talk”, he added.
