Where to watch the Paris 2024 Olympic Games from Venezuela?

The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will take place between July 26 and August 11 and will bring together a total of 10,672 athletes from 196 nations around the world. The delegation that will represent Venezuela will be made up, so far, of 33 athletes.

The opening ceremony will take place on the Seine River, north of the French capital, while the closing ceremony will be held at the Stade de France, which hosted several matches at Euro 2016.

Claro Sports, a YouTube channel, has purchased the rights to broadcast the 329 sporting events that will take place during the Games, which will include 32 athletic disciplines. It is estimated that broadcasts of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will total more than 2,000 hours.

Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Honduras, Venezuela, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Nicaragua, Chile, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Guatemala and Paraguay are the countries where the Claro Sports signal will arrive.

Another of the channels that will broadcast the JJ OO It will be Telesur, which can be tuned in through channel 13 on Inter; and 722 through SimpleTV.

Venezuelans qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics

A total of 33 Venezuelans secured their ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Although the Venezuelan Olympic Committee (COV) has not published a complete list, these are the qualifiers that are known:

The absence of Yulimar Rojas

Athlete Yulimar Rojas, one of the most prominent representatives of Venezuelan sport and who was among those qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games, will not participate in this year’s games due to an injury.

According to official statement Published on April 12 by Rojas’ team, the world record holder suffered an injury to her left Achilles tendon that prevents her from participating in the Olympic events.

Rojas underwent surgery on April 11 at the Clínica Centro in Madrid, Spain. The athlete’s statement described them as “very complicated hours” and expressed her frustration at what had happened.

In the text, Yulimar Rojas confessed that she feels very emotionally affected by not being able to represent Venezuela at the Olympic Games.

“I wish our Venezuelan delegation much success in Paris 2024, I am already very proud of you. I wish my teammates on the track to do their best to achieve glory,” reads the statement released by the Venezuelan athlete on social media.

Although she is not fit enough to compete in this year’s Olympics, Yulimar Rojas will be one of the flag bearers at the opening ceremony. The triple jump champion will be accompanied by weightlifter Julio Mayora.
