“It may not be possible to see any extreme heat in the depth of the forecast horizon (until around July 22), but it seems that the temperatures we have been experiencing for the last few days will be maintained, with small “ups and downs”. Meteorologist Clearchos Marousakis warns via Facebook regarding prolonged heat
In fact, the well-known meteorologist with his post on social media asks “to put aside for the next 10-15 days activities that burden the human body”.
As can be seen in the relevant diagram that accompanies his post at least until July 17, as he notes, the average temperature “is above 35 degrees, but also around 40”.

The heat persists with the temperature soaring and exceeding 41 degrees today, creating difficult conditions for the rest of the day.
The heatwave will last with high temperatures continuing for days. Today areas of western Greece, western mainland Greece, Epirus, western Sterea, western Peloponnese and Thessaly will “boil” with the mercury showing 40 degrees.
The situation will not be better in Athens where the mercury will reach 38 and 39 degrees. The same scenario will continue next week with high temperatures continuing.
The risk of fire is still high today
According to the Fire Risk Prediction Map issued by the General Secretariat of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, the following areas are in risk category 4:
