High pressure, mild temperatures and stable weather: in short, spring in much of Italy. But in fact it is “a spring high pressure” with cloudiness coming from the west to threaten the good weather a bit, explains La7 meteorologist Paolo Sottocorona in the weather forecast for Omnibus. But the Atlantic instability “is not very intense” and seems to have little effect in our skies, at least for the moment.
Wednesday 20 March “a bit of gray arrives in the north with very weak rainfall in the mountainous or pre-Alpine areas, central and Sicily”, but these are “very isolated” rainfalls. On Thursday 21 March this cloudiness moves towards the center, but without bringing precipitation of some isolated rain in the north. On Friday 22 March something is moving: the situation “on the medium-low Tyrrhenian side might be really disturbed, that is, with rain worthy of the name – explains Sottocorona – while in the north and the rest of the center the absence of precipitation continues”. From the point of view of temperatures, the maps show “increasingly bright colours”, i.e. rising thermometers in a large part of the peninsula. We are talking regarding 18, 19 and “in some cases even 20 degrees”, explains the meteorologist. In short, spring has begun.
