The disappearance of Juan Camilo Ríos Escobar43 years old, has generated an intense search and a call to the community to provide information that allows us to find his whereabouts. According to his family, he was last seen on Friday, November 1, 2024, in the El Porvenir neighborhoodmunicipality of Rionegro, where he resides. However, a witness claims to have seen him on Sunday, November 3, at 7:00 am, on the Saxony sidewalk.
At the time of his disappearance, Juan Camilo was wearing jeans, steel-toed boots, prescription glasses, and a light gray jacket with black details on the sleeves. Under the jacket he wore a dark gray camibus.
Juan Camilo lives with his mother, two uncles, a sister, his brother-in-law and a nephew. He is the father of a 16-year-old girl and works as an employee in a warehouse. Her sister, Catalina Escobar, claims that she had no conflicts with anyone and that the family has not received threats either, which makes her disappearance even more inexplicable.
The complaint for his disappearance was filed on Monday, November 4complying with the legal requirement of waiting 72 hours. Since then, the family has received calls from people trying to take advantage of the situation for extortion purposes. “Unfortunately, there are those who seek to deceive us, but we have known how to handle it,” said Catalina.
Juan Camilo has a medium build, dark brown hair with some gray hair, and a graying beard and mustache. Among his distinctive signs are two tattoos: one on the right thigh with the figure of Tweety and another on the right elbow that says “María José.”
The family, together with the Group of Missing Persons of the CTI of Rionegro, has intensified the search. Any relevant information can be communicated to the 3146163930.
His family does not lose hope of finding him soon and calls on the community to be attentive and report any information that may help in his location.

**Editor:** Thank you for joining us, María. Can you start by telling us a little about your brother, Juan Camilo, and the circumstances surrounding his disappearance?
**María Ríos:** Thank you for having me. Juan Camilo is 43 years old, and he’s a beloved part of our family. He was last seen on November 1, 2024, in our neighborhood, El Porvenir in Rionegro. He had gone out for a quick errand and didn’t return home. It’s been incredibly difficult for us, not just for our family, but for the entire community who knows him.
**Editor:** I can only imagine how distressing this must be for you and your family. Have there been any developments or leads since his disappearance?
**María Ríos:** Yes, there have been some sightings reported, and we’re grateful for every piece of information. A witness mentioned seeing him leaving a local store around the time he went missing, but we haven’t been able to confirm any details beyond that. We are urging the community to keep an eye out and report any information, no matter how small it may seem.
**Editor:** That’s understandable. How can the community help in the search for your brother?
**María Ríos:** We want people to stay vigilant and report anything unusual. We also created a flyer with his picture and details about his disappearance, which we’ve distributed in the area. If anyone has seen him or has any information, please contact the local authorities or reach out to our family directly. Every bit of help makes a difference.
