The now sixty-six-year-old actor gathered his first series experience back in 1969, when he started filming the series directed by Vlasta Janečková Kamarádi. In the series, he starred as Honza with Mark Eben, for whom the role of “Válečka” was the start of a dazzling career.
It was the very first series whose target group of viewers were children. It showed ordinary childhood friendships and relationships between children and adults. The series captured the atmosphere of Prague’s Malá Strana and aroused great interest among viewers.
Antonín was ten years old at the time, but he already appeared in front of the camera at the age of six after auditioning for a TV show We are looking for songs for children. He followed up the children’s roles with other roles for teenagers. After elementary school, however, he chose gymnasium because he didn’t really want to do acting. But he was so involved with offers of roles that he finally succumbed and went to DAMU. At that time, he shone in the series Adult exams as Mirek Žalud.
After school, the open arms of the Vinohrady Theater awaited him and many offers for the roles of princes and village nobles, mainly in fairy tales.
His career was stopped by a heated dispute with the management of the theater in 1992, after which he left and withdrew from the acting life. He made a living in various ways, such as driving a truck or learning to work as an artistic blacksmith.
Back in 1995, he appeared in the comedy Once Upon a Time, and then he was enchanted by the world of dubbing. He was able to apply himself there and, unlike acting, he enjoyed it. The list of roles he dubbed is very long. His voice is immortalized in the series Chicago Hope Hospital, The Professionals, Beverly Hills 90210, The X-Files, Melrose Place, Desperate Housewives, SpongeBob SquarePants, Castle to Kill, How I Met Your Mother, Narcos, Frasier and many others. In the film, his voice was spoken by, for example, Kevin Bacon in the movie A Couple of Righteous Guys or Patrick Swayze in the movie Sinful Dancing.

He even became a successful dubbing director. His name appears in the films Gravity, War Horse, Gangster of London, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, The Golden Compass and many others.
When his life started to get complicated, he decided to change his life and cut back on dubbing. His lifelong love of horses was born from the time he filmed one of his first roles in the TV classic Cinderella. Many years later, when he acquired a village residence, he was attracted to horse breeding. He also acquired other animals and set about establishing an orchard. He also spends time with his youngest daughter, whom he adopted at an advanced age.
