“Where are we going…” –

Strong and intense bad weather looms over Italy ahead of May 1st. The latest weather forecast is provided by Paolo Sottocorona, the face of La7 weather. During the news on Monday 29 April, the meteorologist explained that today “we expect a sky that is often clear or with some haze over the Tyrrhenian coast and in Liguria”, but the important thing is to “understand where we are going…”. What is it referring to? On Tuesday 30 April there will be the first signs of an approaching disturbance: “The bad weather faces from the west-southwest, even quite strong”, explains Sottocorona. Clouds over all regions, less so in the south, and rainfall of a certain consistency in the Apennines, Emilia and the north west.

Forehand and reverse, Giuliacci nails environmentalists: weather and climate, here's the truth

All this is only the “prelude” of what awaits us on Wednesday 1 May, when the “strong bad weather” will involve the north-west and part of Emilia with the most intense phenomena, but the disturbance will also persist in the south and north-east with less intense phenomena. In short, although in many regions the bad weather is destined to ruin the “bridge” that many Italians used to leave, but perhaps only on the final day.
