The weather situation is evolving: has the disturbance that hit large areas of Italy passed or is the bad weather destined to remain in our country once more? Presenting the latest weather forecasts during Omnibus is La7 meteorologist Paolo Sottocorona. On Friday 19 April, the disturbance that was affecting the northern regions yesterday is still active and has moved to parts of the center and south. Some weak precipitation persists in the Alpine areas while the heaviest rains are recorded on the middle Adriatic side, the part southern peninsular, a little Sicily, much less Sardinia.
“Yesterday we were saying that this bad weather moved from the north to the center then to the south, and then moves away – explains Sottocorona – In reality this is not the case because the area remains very unstable”. For Saturday 20 April, in fact, “very intense rainfall is expected once more in areas especially in the centre”, in particular the Adriatic due to the winds from the east. Light rain in the north for a gray start to the weekend. The bulk appears on Sunday 21 April, a day “still rather unstable on the middle Adriatic side” with intense rainfall that also reappears in an isolated manner in the north and especially in the north-west, explains the expert. As for temperatures, this morning’s minimums are low, “below average” Sottocorona points out, and we will continue this trend in the next few days.
