They turn into a blindly defensive category that throws verbal stones at anyone who dares to approach those they sanctified without the slightest attempt to verify what was written about some of the person’s writings or ideas. I am not hostile to Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud and I do not know him on a personal level, and many of his writings may be completely devoid of judge the other.
And if Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud was alive and had the time to write my opinion in his takfiri writings, I think he would have been the first to defend what I wrote, and not my person, because I would like to confirm for the second time that if there is a personal animosity in the matter, and that the disagreement is with the opinion and the idea. I imagined; And I may be imaginative that Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud will say: But I really made many people unbelievers! Before Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud excommunicated many Western stars, for example, Michael Jackson and Madonna, and he said about them, “They are stars in the eyes of people, but they are sins with God!”
And the question that arises here is who other than God has the right to divide His servants into righteous and sinful?! However, Madonna sponsored children from Africa and provided them with all the care of housing, food, health care, education…
Or did the Prophet Muhammad not say: “I and the one who takes care of an orphan are like this in Paradise, and he indicated with his index and middle fingers”?! Didn’t Madonna, who was expiated by Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud, sponsor orphans, take care of them, and provide them with a human and safe life?! Didn’t Michael Jackson donate more than a third of his wealth to the poor?! However, among the Arabs, and even among the friends of Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud, were those who were fortunate enough to accuse him of excommunicating him.
He said about Naguib Mahfouz that he is mired in misguidance and must return to God.
And this is how he described Nawal Al-Saadawi, who was a classmate of his, and at that time was inclined to the communist orientation like him.. that Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud sometimes treated as if he was an atheist at some time, did he not remember this time of his life the hour of his expiation for God’s creation?!..
Can I think that it is possible that the takfiri words of Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud to Naguib Mahfouz contributed in one way or another to the assassination attempt on Mahfouz one day?!
I hope that everything that is takfiri or incites to harm others will be eradicated from the works of writers and thinkers.
I hope that we open a new page with ourselves, in which we give up our sanctification of people and our extremism in sanctifying them, a page in which we see that operating the mind is much easier than throwing verbal stones and attempts at moral assassination on those who express their opinion honestly and objectively.
