When does the money appear at ATMs?

A frequent question from pensioners when pension payment dates are announced is when the money will appear at bank ATMs so they can withdraw with their card

The answer is this:

Pension amounts are displayed at ATMs and are available for withdrawal on the BUSINESS day before the payment date in the afternoon to evening hours (usually from 18.00 to 21.00 depending on the bank)

Therefore, if the payment day is Monday, then the pension funds appear available at ATMs from Friday evening (previous WORKING day).

It is understandable that although Friday happens to be a public holiday, then the pension money appears available at ATMs from the Thursday (previous WORKING day) evening.
