When will the duration of day and night be equal around the world?

Normally, there is a difference between the duration of day and night, which keeps decreasing and increasing, but in some days of the year, their duration becomes the same.

By the way, in recent years the duration of autumn has decreased but still between September 21 and 24 every year the moderate Kharif or September Equinox begins.

Between the 21st and 24th of September, Autumn begins in the Northern Hemisphere and Spring begins in the Southern Hemisphere. At this point, the sun passes just above the equator on its way to the south.

Moderate Kharif means that the sun will rise due to the east and set due to the west. Before moderate Kharif, the sun rises from the northeast, while after moderate Kharif, it will rise from the southeast.

It should be noted that our Earth is tilted to one side in its orbit around the Sun, as a result of which more or less sunlight and heat reach our planet directly at certain times of the year.

On the occasion of moderate kharif, since the sun is above the equator, the sunlight reaches almost everywhere in the world in the same amount.

The same happens in March when the spring equinox begins, when the sun passes over the equator on its way north.

The duration of day and night becomes the same in March and September, i.e. 12, 12 hours. (but not in some regions).
