When will I receive my retirement pensions this year?
Basic retirement pensions for private sector employees are paid on the 9th of the month, if it is a working day. Otherwise, payment is made on the first previous working day. And this payment is made in arrears: the retirement for the month of January 2022 will be paid on February 9, 2022, that of March 2022 on April 8, 2022 (April 9 is a Saturday), etc.
The rule differs for Agirc-Arrco complementary, paid in advance from the first day of the month concerned, for example the 1is February for the month of February 2022. But it was January 3 for the January 2022 pension, because when the 1is is not a working day, the payment is postponed to the next working day at Agirc-Arrco.
For independent craftsmen and traders, the payment is made in arrears between the 8th and 10th of the following month. For liberal professionals, basic and supplementary pensions are paid at the end of the month for the current month. Same for civil servants.
Result: an insured with a multiple career receives several transfers, on different dates corresponding to different periods. To find your way around, be aware that pension funds publish their annual payment schedule online.
Please note, these are the payment dates. The actual transfer date to your account depends on the bank processing times – sometimes several days.
