When will Luis Grijalva compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics?
The Guatemalan long-distance runner will compete in his second Olympics in France, where he will compete in the 5,000-meter race.

Luis Miguel Grijalva He arrives in the French capital as one of the Guatemalan athletes with the greatest chance of winning an Olympic medal, after finishing fourth in his discipline at the World Athletics Championships.
The “Tarzan” of Guatemala will compete in Paris 2024 her second Olympic Games, after having participated in the 5,000-meter flat race in Tokio 2020where he finished in twelfth position.
For this edition of the Olympics, Grijalva will compete again in the same event as four years ago, but this time he arrives with much more experience and preparation.
The “Dreamer” wants to place the Guatemalan flag at the top of Olympic sport, and accompany Erick Barrondo and Jean Pierre Brol as Guatemalan athletes with Olympic medals.
When and at what time will Grijalva compete in Paris?
According to the Guatemalan Olympic Committee (COG), Grijalva will begin his adventure at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games next Wednesday, August 7that 3 in the morning in Guatemala.
The Guatemalan long-distance runner will participate in the first round of qualifying for the 5,000-meter flat race, where the first five places in each series, and the five best times, qualify for the final.

The International Olympic Committee (COI) plans to hold the 5,000-meter final on Saturday 10th Augustat 11:30 a.m. Guatemala time.
In Tokyo 2020, Luis managed to get through the qualifying phase with a time of 13:34:11 minutes; and in the final he made a time of 13:10:09, which earned him twelfth place. However, in 2023, during the Athletics League in Zurich, Switzerland, Grijalva achieved a time of 12:59.16.
