“When was your last STI screening”: the AIDS Prevention Platform is relaunching its information campaign

Covid-19 is less present in our news, but it continues to have negative consequences in a wide variety of areas, including for the screening of STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections)*.

During the health crisis, many screening centers, family planning or other places of sexual health care have indeed closed their doors. Likewise, with the cancellation of many events, the associations have not sensitized or made from rapid tests directly on the ground. Otherwise, fear going to the medical community to get tested has naturally been reinforced by the health crisis in our society.

People who have had risky sexual relations have therefore delayed or abandoned their screening procedures. In the meantime, these people were able to have sexual relations with other partners and contaminate them. It is therefore essential to resume our good habits, including that of get tested. Because, if in the field, professionals observe an increase in the number of screenings, we are not yet at the same level as before the health crisis.

To encourage us, AIDS Prevention Platform relaunch for one year its information campaign from June 16th. With a brochure, posters, radio and TV spots, digital capsules or condoms, “When was your last test?” invites everyone to ask questions about STI screening, to take responsibility for your sexual health and to find a nearby testing center from home.
