When the sand of the Sahara covers the ski slopes in France

As we explained to you this week, a cloud of sand from the Sahara crossed Europe, passing over Spain, France and even Belgium. The sand was thus transported by the winds, coming from the north of Morocco affected by a depression. If said cloud has now left the country, its passage has nevertheless left traces: dust on car windshields, on solar panels, deterioration of air quality and even orange snow.

Indeed, in France in the region of the Pyrenees the phenomenon was particularly visible and even transformed the white gold of the mountains into ocher snow. If the passage of this type of cloud is not in itself so rare, it is nonetheless spectacular. Skiers and snowboarders have therefore taken the opportunity to offer descents on this abnormally orange snow. Many photos and videos have thus made the rounds of social networks.

The snow will quickly regain its traditional white coat, but the memories will remain for the lucky athletes.
